In April, we were visited by volunteers from Seattle, USA. The children lived in the temporary house of Pristaniste, played chess and conducted English language classes with our residents-refugees from Ukraine and internally displaced persons from Russia and Belarus. In addition, they brought us a gift: 27 wonderful musical instruments, which were collected all over the state and restored. Now these saxophones, trumpets and flutes are in Pristaniste.
Thanks to volunteers from the United States, it is possible to conduct lessons in Budva with children who studied music at home, but due to the war and relocation, these classes had to be stopped. And anti-war musicians left without their instruments can take flutes, trumpets, and saxophones to the Pristaniste and hold concerts.
‘Volunteers should generally help each other, regardless of the country in which the community is registered. We are doing the same thing, ‘ said Ruslana Yaroslavskaya, Executive Director of the Coordinating Council for Refugees in the United States, who together with the team gave us such a gift.
Our gallery contains all the tools that can be rented, thereby supporting refugees from Ukraine and internally displaced persons from Russia and Belarus.
