We tell you how October passed in Priestanishte
In October, 51 people stayed in our temporary home (34 from Ukraine, 17 from Russia). Another 36 people also applied for other types of assistance (advice, food, clothing). We bought 914.02 euros worth of products and spent 587.60 euros on communication tools and registration.
It is very important for us to receive people from hot spots. The program ‘Sleep in silence’ was created for Ukrainians who can live in a quiet place and escape from the horrors of war. If you have any friends, relatives or acquaintances from Sumy or Odessa who were injured in the recent air raids, please tell them about our foundation and our program.
Ekaterina and Elena from Kharkiv. Mom and daughter discovered Montenegro for the first time and fell in love with this small country. ‘I really don’t want to leave,‘ they wrote in their review. For us, it is very valuable that guests write in the review book.
The Podrum program allows us to unite communities and collect donations in support of refugees and internally displaced persons. Talented friends of the foundation organize concerts and creative evenings in support of our wards. Our assistants in October were the poet Orlusha (poetry evening), musicians Denis Kozminykh and Yuri Emshanov (concert “Not only jazz’), poetess Vera Pavlova (poetry performance ‘Letters to the next Room”), musician Ivan Velikanov (lecture-concert ‘Disappeared Instruments’), musician Vadik Korolev (concert and presentation books “Snowman’).
🔹 Thank you to our partners who provided their venues-Auditorium Budva Reforum Space Budva Adriatic Open School, Bar. Thanks to these activities, we have raised 1,300 euros to help refugees and internally displaced persons.
In addition, educational and cultural events – clubs, classes and workshops-take place in our villa. From math and video creation to language clubs. In October, the Priestanishte House hosted 30 events, attended by 62 people.
👍 Together with our partners of the Mutual Aid Day campaign, we collect about 92 euros a month, which allows us to buy SIM cards for our residents who have just arrived in Montenegro. Partners of the promotion-Rabbit club, Bar; BeBeauty Hair & Store cosmetics store, Auditorium Budva, Talas Restaurant (Maksim Hotel).
Together with you, we were able to raise 300 euros to pay for the services of the social center for Andrey. We continue to collect-and are looking for a sponsor in November for a boy with autism.
You can help Andrey here.
Also important for us are the Garage Sales, which we now hold at the Priestanishte House twice a month. October fee – 492.95 euros. Thank you for supporting our environmental initiative.
By the way, another of our ecological contributions to the conservation of nature in Montenegro is the release of new and stylish Kesa ne treba shoppers. On October 20, the law banning the use of plastic thin bags came into force. Shopper is a great eco-friendly initiative from our designers. You can buy them for a donation in the Priestanishte house, in the Audience cultural center and in the Montenegro European Art Community gallery.
Together with the Memorial Society, we read the names of the repressed. On the eve of the Memorial Day for the Victims of Political Prisoners, activists, residents of the house, friends of the foundation-there were more than 60 readers, 384 names were read, including 7 Montenegrin names. We also wrote 23 letters to political prisoners in Russian prisons – the community of activists of the Reforum Space Budva resource center, who write letters every Tuesday, helped us with this.
One of the most important stages was the Foundation’s online and Offline Psychological Conference. In addition to personal consultations – there were five of them in October – our psychological service gathered all the experience and best practices of the last 2.5 years and packed this knowledge into 13 short lectures.
On our YouTube channel there is a recording of the broadcast of both days of the conference. Review and learn from our experience.
Some statistics:
80 people attended the offline conference. Online – more than 2000 views in the public domain, and 420 registrations to participate in our zoom.
Thank you for your activity, questions, opinions, and comments.
If you want to support our volunteer community and help refugees and internally displaced persons from Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, you can make a donation or leave a donation in our boxes at the foundation’s events.
❤️ Thank you for helping.
